End of Term 1 – A Fantastic Start to the Year!

As the term comes to an end, we want to take a moment to celebrate the wonderful achievements of our students in Years 3 and 4. They have settled into their new class routines with enthusiasm and resilience, quickly adapting to expectations and working hard to make the most of their learning opportunities.

Throughout the term, students have shown great dedication to their studies, demonstrating a commitment to learning, growing, and upholding our school values. Their teamwork, respect, and perseverance have been evident in and out of the classroom, making for a positive and supportive learning environment.

A special mention goes to our Year 3 students, who successfully completed NAPLAN. They approached the assessments with determination and a growth mindset, showing confidence in their abilities. We are incredibly proud of their efforts!

Another highlight of the term was the TAIKO drumming incursion, where students had the opportunity to experience the power and rhythm of traditional Japanese drumming. The energy in the room was contagious as they engaged in this unique musical and cultural experience.

This term, students also explored our Inquiry topic, "Aussie, Aussie, Aussie", where they deepened their understanding of Australia’s values, beliefs and evolution, First Nations peoples, and early settlers and the natural environments of Australia. Through engaging discussions and hands-on activities, students developed an appreciation for our country’s rich history and diverse landscapes.

Congratulations to all students on a fantastic term! We look forward to the exciting learning and experiences that the rest of the year will bring. Have a well-deserved break!
