Spotlight on Learning - Eclipse

In our recent science lessons, Eclipse students have embarked on an exciting exploration of Earth’s place in the solar system. Our key inquiry question, "How does the Earth compare to other planets in the solar system?" has guided our investigations and discussions.

Students have engaged in hands-on activities, creating models to illustrate the relative sizes and distances of planets and conducting research to understand the unique features of Earth, such as its atmosphere and ability to support life. To further showcase their understanding, students expressed their learning through a variety of creative projects. Many crafted engaging comic strips that depicted their knowledge of the solar system, while others designed board games that challenged their peers to answer questions about different planets.

Additionally, students wrote imaginative stories set on other planets, integrating facts about the solar system into their narratives. Through these collaborative and creative projects, students have deepened their understanding of Earth's dynamic nature and its interconnections with other celestial bodies.
