From the Principal's Desk

Dear Parents,

It is so hard to believe that we are at the end of Term 1! Where has that time gone?

There is so much to celebrate and be proud of over the last 10 weeks.  Our Foundation students have settled in exceptionally well and they are certainly 'school experts’ now. Congratulations to Miss Leah, all the parents and of course our Foundation superstars.

I am privileged every day to see the learning that happens in our school. Students are engaged, motivated and focussed and prospective families have commented positively  on the calm & focussed environment of our school. This is due to our students and our staff who plan and work to ensure each student is working towards their potential.

I wish all the staff, students and families every blessing of the Easter season and hope you all have a very relaxing and enjoyable break .

Extra Curricular  Programs

On Monday we were very lucky to see a Dance Performance by our Kelly Sports dance students. This lunchtime activity showcased their learning with a performance for parents and students which was very impressive.

Chess Club continues to be extremely popular with students participating in lessons, games, activities and matches .

If you would like your child to participate see the information below on how to register.

Enrolments

There are still opportunities for people to visit and learn about our school. Existing families are also welcome to attend. Please pass the enrolment information on to family and friends.

Tomorrow our Year 1/2 student will participate in their Camp experience. We hope they have a wonderful time and look forward to hearing about it.

Lego, Duplo & Train sets needed

Do you have Lego, Duplo or wooden train sets that your children no longer play with? If you do, we would love any, and all donations of these items to enable students to play with these outside at break times. We hope to provide tubs that students can take outside and use in the passive play areas of our middle / senior yard. Donations can be left at the Office.

Flu Vaccinations

We have a Flu vaccination session booked for the staff on Thursday 1st May from 1.30 - 1.45pm and can accommodate others from our community should you wish to take up the offer. The cost is $20.00 payable to the school on the day. If you wish your child to be vaccinated, you must have an adult present and stay with your child for 15 minutes after the vaccination. Please contact the office if you wish to participate 9384 8500 or schooladmin@stbernardscoburg.catholic.edu.au.
