Art F-6

Foundation

Foundation students have created some incredible ‘Line Monsters’ using a mix of oil pastels, watercolour paint and paper collage techniques. We talked about different expressions and how we could make our monsters happy, sad, scared or even confused! They turned out absolutely amazing and are on display in the Library.

Year 1/2

Year 1/2 students have been inspired by portrait paintings by Henri Matisse. His use of shape and colour creates interesting and vibrant works, often the people don’t look realistic and that’s why we love them! These portraits are currently on display in the Hall in the Marnerlong building (Junior building), so please check them out next time you’re at school.

Year 3/4

Year 3/4 students have created paintings using the letters of their name, inspired by American artist Jasper Johns. These are some seriously fun and colourful works that look even better in person. They are on display in the foyer opposite the office, please swing through and have a look!

Year 5/6

The Year 5/6s have been working hard for weeks on their absolutely breathtaking oil pastel dragon eyes. This has been an absolute labour of love and I am so impressed by their care and dedication to their work.
