Student Learning - 3/4

The 3/4s have been exploring evaporation and condensation and created posters to explain these processes. We have also been developing our ideas for how we can recycle plastic materials and/or replace plastic products.

In 3/4 we have been looking at 2D and 3D shapes. We had fun exploring with isometric paper and making buildings out of cubes! 

Over the last two weeks, 3/4 students have been exploring prefixes and suffixes and how they change the meaning of particular base words. In groups, they created words using a prefix, base word, and suffix, then represented them visually on posters which are now displayed in the classroom. Understanding these word parts helps expand students’ writing vocabulary and improves their ability to decode words while reading.
