Out and About

Year 7 Camp
Year 7 Adventure at The Outdoor School
Our Year 7 students recently returned from an action-packed camp at The Outdoor School (Bogong Campus), where they embraced the great outdoors, tackled new challenges, and strengthened their teamwork skills in the stunning alpine setting of Falls Creek.
Throughout the camp, students pushed themselves to new heights—literally—by abseiling down rock faces, testing their balance and coordination while canoeing and more. Camping under a spectacular starry sky was a highlight, as students bonded over stories, laughter, and the adventure of sleeping out in nature.
A special experience was the hike up Mount Cope, where students explored Indigenous stories connected to the land and took in breath-taking views of the surrounding mountains. It was a moment of reflection and discovery, helping them connect with the deep history of the High Country. Another favourite moment was meeting the resident reptiles and adorable sugar gliders, giving students a chance to learn more about the incredible wildlife that calls this area home.
This camp was about more than just adventure—it was about teamwork, resilience, and building friendships. A huge thank you to the fantastic staff at The Outdoor School for guiding our students through this unforgettable experience. The lessons they’ve learned and the memories they’ve made will stay with them for years to come!
