Wellbeing & Partnerships

Welcome Back!

What a great start to the 2025 school year we have had. The warm weather has allowed everyone to enjoy our wonderful grounds at St A's. Our new Preps and students have been getting to know the different areas of our playgrounds. Many have also had a chance to meet Ziggy - who has been sporting a cool new jacket too! This week, we launched a few lunch time clubs run by our amazing support staff. We hope you enjoy the photos of the children enjoying chess, LOL club, loom bands, the Wellbeing Trolley, garden club and of course, the ever-popular Friday afternoon dance party. We would LOVE you to join us too. If you have a special talent or interest (and a WWCC) that you would like to share with the children at lunch times, please contact Emma Ramsamy.

Happy Families

For those who are new to our school, Our school is now subscribed to the Happy Families School Membership! Owned and run by Dr Justin Coulson, one of Australia’s leading parenting experts, the membership offers a wealth of parenting education in the form of articles called ‘Insights’. Insights articles are written by Dr Justin and other leading experts and provide parenting advice and support for a wide variety of traditional and contemporary parenting challenges.

Insight Articles

Insights are released once a week during the term and we will include them in the school newsletter. The membership also allows parents and staff to access all of the previous 300+ Insights articles. To do so at any time, use the below URL and password.

The first article for this year is aptly titled "The Hidden Benefits of Your Child's Back-to-School Butterflies''. We would be interested to hear your thoughts on the articles that we will share throughout the year. If you would like to provide some feedback please email your thoughts to: admin@safranksth.catholic.edu.au

Safer Internet Day

Next Tuesday, 11th February is Safer Internet Day. The day is promoted by the eSafety Commissioner and encourages all Australians to "help make the internet a safer, and more positive place". In class, the students will be participating in a range of activities over the week. If you are interested in finding out more, the eSafety Commissioner will also be presenting seminars for parents and carers. Please see the flyer attached for more information.

We would love to have you join us at St A's - would you like to help out?

As the school year begins, it's a great time to find out how you can become an active member of our vibrant community at St Augustine's. We always appreciate an extra pair of hands to help across the school for a variety of reasons. This term we will have Cooking & Gardening sessions, a number of sporting events and excursions planned. It would be great if you are able to get involved and take part. If you are keen to join in, please make sure you have a current Working With Children Check
