MaST Project

World of Maths
On Thursday, 20th February, we had Megan from World of Maths to share some hands on mathematics activities with us. It was a lot of fun and we thank Megan for visiting our school!
Learning in the Classrooms
As we progress through the first few weeks, our Mathematic focus has changed as well. Please find below the content that each stage is now covering for the next few weeks.
Stage 3: Representing Whole Numbers
Learning Intention: Students are learning to apply an understanding of place value and the role of zero to represent the properties of numbers
Stage 2: Representing numbers using place value
Learning Intention: Students are learning to apply an understanding of place value and the role of zero to represent numbers to at least tens of thousands.
Stage 1: Representing Whole Numbers
Learning Intentions: Students are learning to apply an understanding of place value and the role of zero to read, write and order two- and three-digit numbers.
Students are learning to reason about representations of whole numbers to 1000, partitioning numbers to use and record quantity values.
Early Stage 1: 2D Space
Learning Intention: Students are learning to sort, describe, name and make two-dimensional shapes, including triangles, circles, squares and rectangles
