Bulldogs Read

On Monday the 17th of February, our 2025 Bulldogs Read participants attended the Welcome Event at the Ballarat Library. Amongst the other eight schools in the Ballarat area, students were provided the opportunity to further develop their understanding of what the program is all about. 

We listened to program leaders Campbell Waring and Tamara Sheward take us through all the exciting opportunities ahead of us this year, including lots of engagement with the Western Bulldogs Football Club. Students learnt about how to submit their book reviews to the Bulldogs Read website and the many incredible prizes up for grabs. 

After waiting patiently, students were very excited to meet Western Bulldogs players Bailey Dale and James O'Donnell who shared some insight about their careers and their experiences in reading. 

At school, our weekly sessions officially launched on Friday. I was blown away by the enthusiasm students showed upon getting started and am very excited to see their work published online. Already, we have had over 15 reviews submitted from our school, demonstrating our groups commitment to the program.
