STEM

We are off to a flying start in STEM this year with all classes engaging and learning from the first session. The junior classes have been designing and building along with practicing their scientific skills in using a pipette to transfer coloured water, creating some very interesting discussions about suction and cohesion. They have also been looking at basic chemical interactions using the trusty bicarb soda and vinegar reaction. The senior classes have been working on creating fair scientific tests where variables are carefully chosen. We have been using food and bouncy balls to conduct these tests. Looking further into this term we will be looking at floating and sinking, light, electricity and many more scientific principles. Lots to look forward to!
