What will I learn?
This VET Â course enables students to gain competencies in industry-recognised training that will provide them with a pathway into the hospitality industry. Students enrolling in this subject will receive industry-based training in hospitality and gain a Certificate II in Cookery.

This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in a range of kitchen functions and activities that require the application of a range of practical skills in a defined context. An Optional work placement will be undertaken in various commercial and hospitality enterprises where food is prepared and served, including restaurants, hotels, and catering operations. Students will work with some autonomy and also be required to work as part of a team.

The full Certificate II course will earn 37 points toward the Tasmanian Certificate of Education.
