What will I learn?
This qualification provides students with the knowledge and skills that will enhance their employment prospects in the building and construction industry. Students gain a broad knowledge of using various tools and equipment related to building by undertaking a range of practical tasks and projects. The aim of the Certificate lI in Construction Pathways is to provide students with basic industry specific skills and knowledge to enable transition into an apprenticeship within the building and construction industries at the Certificate III level.

What Pathway Options does this course provide?
This qualification provides a pathway to the primary trades in the construction industry with the exception of plumbing. Trade outcomes are predominantly achieved through an Australian Apprenticeship, and this qualification allows for inclusion of skills suited for entry to off-site occupations, such as joinery, as well as carpentry, bricklaying and other occupations in general construction. This qualification is designed to introduce learners to the recognised trade callings in the construction industry and provide meaningful credit in a construction industry Australian Apprenticeship.
