2026 School Day Schedule

Student safety at Highton Primary School is our highest priority and the safe and appropriate supervision of students is an important element of our duty of care to students. Part of this duty is ensuring parents and students are aware of our student supervision arrangements before and after school.

Before school: 

8:30am - School Opens and Drop off at the front of the school is supervised. Students are expected to wait outside classrooms.

8:35am. Students check in with teacher and prepare for the day.

8:45am – Instruction promptly begins. 

After school:

3:15pm – School Pickup at the front of the school is supervised (All students are expected to meet up with parents/carers or wait for pickup at the front of the school)

3:35pm – Gate Supervision Finishes /School Unsupervised. 

*Students are only permitted to play on school grounds after school if supervised by their parent/carer. 

Students on school grounds outside these times will not be supervised unless they are attending the school’s OSHC (Team Kids) program or supervised extracurricular activity.

Parents/carers are requested to ensure that students do not attend school outside of these supervised times unless they are attending before or after school care, or a pre-arranged supervised activity.
