PARISH- SCHOOL FETE 2026

This is the year we get our working gloves on and build the big, beautiful FETE that our St Luke's community is known and loved for. We need loads of helpers and donations... so get yourself ready.

At the end of Term 1 we will be calling for a first round of donations. Make sure you look out for the request BUT respectfully, we are looking for donations that are:

* new and unused donations,

*unopened items

*of good quality

If you know of companies or businesses that are happy to donate to the fete, please contact Lisa at db_lisa@hotmail.com OR

Candi at candidcouto@gmail.com

One of the biggest donations you can give is YOUR TIME on the day. We will need a village of helpers to man stalls for 1.5-2 hours.

Hot off the press... the first Fete meeting is on Thursday 19th February at 7pm in the parish -hall kitchen. Please contact Clare if you have any questions: principal@slblackburnsth.catholic.edu.au

It takes a village to make a fun-filled, fantastic FETE!

SCHOOL ADVISORY COUNCIL (SAC) 2026

This year the SAC welcomes Clinton Connane to the Chair position. We are very fortunate to have the following members of the council engaging in the life of the school through meeting twice a term to discuss all aspects of school life.

# Clinton Connane (Chair)

# Clare Ryan (Principal)

# Julie Inglese (Principal's delegate)

# Nader Mitri

# Victoria Smith

# Lisa Lander

We are looking for more members to join for a 3 year tenure so why not come along to our first meeting for the year this Tuesday, 10th February at 7 pm in the staffroom.

PARENTS & FRIENDS ASSOCIATION (P&F)

2026 has started and the ever energetic and enthusiastic P&F has already had its first meeting. On Tuesday evening this week the team met in the staffroom to set dates on the calendar. We have a new Chairperson this year-  Dani Fusca who is Mum to Illaria and Stella, organised the incredibly successful Colour Run last year among many other things.

Every second year when the FETE happens, The P&F stores up lots of energy and time to support this wonderful event later in the year BUT there's still loads of other opportunities for the P&F to wave its' magic. It's all about COMMUNITY and we'd love everyone to do whatever they can.

This term, the P&F will be providing morning tea for our upcoming HARMONY Day of Joy at school.

We'll be holding an Easter Raffle with the draw being held on the last day of term.

We'll be supporting the first Working Bee on Sunday 28th February and that's just the start of it!

Our meetings will be held on a Tuesday evening in Weeks 2 and 7 of each term. Our next meeting is on Tuesday 10th March at 7 pm in the staffroom.

We are always looking for new members to join the team which guarantees a fun time. Please come along and bring a friend.
