Principal's Report

Dear families,

The end of the 2025 school year is upon us, with students finishing today at 2.30pm. The staff will enter a week of Professional Learning, First Aid, Catholic Identity formation and planning for 2026. The College Office will close on 12th December at 10.30am.

It has been another big year for our school community. Together we have embraced challenges, celebrated achievements and continued to grow in faith and learning. The dedication of our students, families and staff has ensured that 2025 has been a year of progress and success and I’m grateful for the collective effort that makes St Brigid’s College such a vibrant place to learn and belong. Upon return in 2026, students will have full access to our new Wellbeing Centre.

Christmas is a time of preparation and anticipation of the birth of Jesus, and this is a gift to each of us amid the busyness and stress of our personal and working lives. As you and your family prepare for Christmas this year, may you find time to reflect and pray, with its promise of what the future might hold and to lighten your heart and deepen your gratitude for the small signs of God's steadfast love for you and for all who share our common home.

Wishing you a safe and joyful holiday season. We look forward to welcoming our Year 12, 11 and Year 7 students back in 2026 for the start of the school year on Thursday 29th January 2026, while the Year 8, 9 and Year 10 students return on Friday 30th January.

Please note that this is the final newsletter for 2025.

Thank you to all students, families and staff for your contributions throughout the year. Together we have created a vibrant and supportive learning community, and I look forward to continuing this journey with you in 2026.

With every blessing,

Gerard Raven
