Principal's Report

Dear Parents and Carers.

As we arrive at this special time of the year, the season of Advent invites us to pause, reflect and prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ. With Christmas just around the corner, Advent reminds us of hope, light and renewal—fitting themes as we bring our academic year to a close and look ahead with optimism to the year before us.

2025 has been a year of growth, challenge and achievement for our College community. One of the most exciting developments has been the progress of our new building project. I am pleased to share that this significant addition to our College will be ready for occupation from the beginning of 2026. This new learning space will greatly enhance our facilities and support high-quality teaching and learning for our students well into the future. We look forward to welcoming staff and students into this new environment next year.

2026 Mobile Phones and other devices.

As we prepare for 2026, I ask all parents and carers to please read the attached letter outlining the College’s mobile phone expectations and procedures for next year. It is important that families are familiar with these guidelines as we continue to prioritise student wellbeing, learning and positive school culture.

2026 School Fees

I also wish to advise our community that Armidale Catholic Schools has made the decision to increase school fees by 5% for 2026. Further information regarding this change will be provided in a separate letter, which will be made available shortly.

2026 Families as Partners in Catholic School Communities

In choosing a Catholic school, families enter into a genuine partnership with the College. This partnership brings with it a shared privilege and shared responsibility for each child’s faith formation, learning and overall wellbeing. Together, we hold a common goal: that every child and young person in Armidale Diocesan schools is safe, valued, respected and cared for, and is both challenged and supported to flourish as a learner. Please see attached Living Well Learning Well Families as partners.

Gratitude

I extend my sincere gratitude to our parents and carers for your ongoing commitment, trust and partnership throughout the year. Your support of your children’s learning, your engagement with the College and your shared commitment to our values make a profound difference to the success and wellbeing of our students.

Thank you also to our School Advisory Council for your continued guidance, support and service to the College. Your dedication and willingness to give your time and expertise has been invaluable throughout the year.

To our students, thank you for your commitment to learning and for the energy, enthusiasm and pride you bring to our College. Whether in the classroom, on the sporting field, in cultural pursuits, service opportunities or leadership roles, you have represented yourselves and our community with integrity and pride.

Finally, I offer my heartfelt thanks to our staff. Your professionalism, care and dedication to our students and to one another is at the heart of all that we achieve. Your willingness to go above and beyond each day ensures our College remains a place where students are known, valued and supported.

We farewell the following staff and thank them for their contribution to the life of the college.
