Fire Safety Fun with Fire Rescue Victoria! 

Over the past two weeks, our Prep students were lucky to have two special visits from Fire Rescue Victoria as part of our Concept unit on local community helpers. The firefighters taught us all about fire safety, including the difference between good and bad fires, and what to do if there’s ever a fire — like finding a safe place and calling for help.

The highlight for many students was getting an up-close look at a real fire truck! The children were amazed to see all the tools and equipment on board and learn about the protective gear firefighters wear to keep safe while doing their important job.

These visits have helped our students better understand the role of firefighters in our community and how they help keep us all safe.
