Principal's Message

From the Desk of Kathy Nott - Term 2, Week 4

Good afternoon, Parents/Carers,

Behaviour Focus

Our behaviour focus for Week 3 is  Ready-

We are learning to:

  • Be positive problem solvers

We know we are successful when:

  • We don't get angry/stay calm

  • Talk about the situation

  • Keep your reactions calm

  • Don't talk over others/solve it together

  • Come to a solution

Road Safety and After School Pick Up

To ensure our students leave school in a safe and timely manner we ask that all Parents/Carers come to the gate to collect their child at the end of the school day.  We will not allow students to walk to cars or across the road and they will remain within the school grounds until collected.

Turn Up Awards

Congratulations to our Turn Up Award winners for Week 3 who received a canteen voucher to purchase lunch from the school canteen next Friday:

K/1B -      Latrell

2/3O -      Theo

4/5/6W - Thomas

Life Skills Meal Deal

Our Life Skills Meal Deal on Tuesdays has been very successful and I would like to thank everyone for getting behind this program.  Our students in 4/5/6W are learning some very valuable skills and the children and staff alike are enjoying the meals that are being prepared. Next weeks meal deal is Marinated Chicken Wings with Fried Rice and Cupcakes.  Envelopes will be distributed today.

Medical Action Plans

If your child is suffering from a medical condition that requires the administration of medication, modification to activities or monitoring, please ensure that an updated copy of the action plan from your GP or specialist is given to the school to have on file.  This is very important in case of a medical emergency so we can advise paramedics or put into place supports to ensure your child is well cared for.

Cross Country

It was great to see so many parents come to cheer on our students in the school cross country held last Friday.  Well done to all of our students.  Your participation was outstanding and representation of our school within the community is to be commended. Congratulations to those students who have made it through to the PSSA Quirindi Zone Carnival.  We look forward to hearing the results.

School Assembly

We look forward to welcoming our families to our first School Assembly for Term 2.  Please come and join us this Friday, 23rd May at 2:10pm.  All welcome to attend.

Kind regards

Kathy Nott

Principal
