3/4 Eucharist Reflection Day

First Eucharist, also called First Communion, is a special step in a child's faith journey. It's the first time children receive Jesus in the form of bread and wine at Mass. This isn't just an ordinary meal, it's a  sacred celebration where we remember how much we are loved. When we receive the Eucharist, we are becoming even more connected to Jesus and the whole Church family. Just like sharing a meal brings people closer together, the Eucharist brings us closer to God and to one another.

On Friday the 16th of May our 3/4 students participated in a Eucharist Reflection Day at school. All 3/4 students were immersed in the Scriptures that are related to the Sacrament of Eucharist. They participated in activities such as making the bread, Imaginative Prayer, making placemats for their dinner, reflecting on how they live the Eucharist and developing a deeper connection with God. Please pray for our Year 4 students as they celebrate their First Communion on May 24th at St Mary’s Star of the Sea at 6pm. We invite all Year 3/4 families to come and join in the celebration.
