Practice Hike at Plenty Gorge
Last week, our Duke of Edinburgh students laced up their hiking boots and set out on their first practice journey—an 11km trek through the stunning Plenty Gorge.
The group embraced the challenge with enthusiasm, taking in the beautiful natural surroundings and making the most of the sunshine along the way. Importantly, students demonstrated a strong commitment to the Leave No Trace principles, ensuring they respected the environment and left the trail as they found it.
This hike marks a big step in their preparation for the upcoming Adventurous Journey, giving students the chance to develop key navigation, teamwork, and outdoor skills. We're proud of the way they supported each other and represented the school so positively out on the trail.
