What a fantastic fortnight we've had! It's been another busy, productive, and exciting time both in and out of the classroom,
Sporting Success!
A huge congratulations to our hockey team and soccer team, who both represented our school with pride and determination at their recent tournaments. The girls hockey and soccer teams demonstrated excellent teamwork and sportsmanship- winning their respective days, while our boys soccer team competed hard all day, and were unlucky in the end, missing out on progressing to the next stage on goal difference! We couldn’t be prouder of all our teams, how they represented our school and themselves on and off the field. Well done to everyone involved and a special thank-you to our coaches Michelle, Narelle, Mr Greer and Mr Smith.
In the Classroom
We've been learning about tectonic plates and how their movement shapes our planet through earthquakes, volcanoes, and the formation of mountains. We've also begun exploring different biomes, comparing climates, flora and fauna.
In maths, we’ve been sharpening our skills in identifying and measuring angles using protractors. We’ve also continued building our skills in multiplication, using a mix of strategies including arrays, area models, and mental maths. It’s been great to see students growing in confidence with these important foundational skills.
Warm regards,
Grade 5/6 Team
