Journeying Together in Christ

NATIONAL SORRY WEEK

You may have witnessed or heard about our school's role during the week. A major focus of the week 5 assembly was 'reconciliation'. Mr Summers and Mrs Salau accompanied students from Years 5/6 to the Reconciliation mass in Benalla last Friday. Ongoing education regarding 'healing' is important for all. See the Religious Education section for more photos and details of the week.

ENROLMENTS 2026

If existing families have someone starting school in 2026, please ask the office staff for an application pack.  We would like to finalise numbers by the end of this school term.

  • improve student wellbeing and create the classrooms they need with belonging, mastery, generosity and responsibility
  • increase safety of classrooms and schools by proactively reducing disruptive behaviours
  • dramatically improve student learning outcomes through increased engagement
  • develop the knowledge, practice, demonstration and coaching they need to get the outcomes they desire
  • apply evidence from the Science of Learning and the insights of cognitive load theory

Mother's Afternoon Tea- Year 6

We hosted our Year 6 mums/special person afternoon tea on Wednesday, 28th May. Mrs Liddell coordinated a beautiful occasion, with special thanks to staff who baked away and provided a very yummy spread.

School Grounds

Bruce has been with us since just before Easter. The grounds are looking great. Apart from daily duties on the blower, mower and filling in rabbit/hare holes he has completed the following or is in the process of:

-decking oil on the entire portable floorboards

-yellow non-slip tape on the portable stairs

-pruning

-painting all shed and sail poles yellow (6-7ft high)

-soft fall in the playgrounds

We added covers over all the stormwater drains. The issue was the ongoing leaves/debris filling our stormwater and blocking it. As a joint effort with NDC we had the pipes pressure vacuumed. We will assess after the next main rainfall.

Shepparton Access

For those who are not aware we share a special partnership with Shepparton Access. Shepp Access is a not-for-profit organisation that provide services and supports to people with disability, within the Goulburn Valley.

On Wednesday I visited Eco Store for two reasons. To say hello and to buy some products. Eco Park , where much of the fresh produce is grown, is at our doorstep. The 2008 initiative between St Luke's and Shepp Access continues to flourish.
