What’s Been Happening

In Week 7, the SRC proudly ran Breakfast Club to celebrate SASS Week and to say a big thank you to our fantastic SLSO team. We’re so grateful for all the help and support they give us each day, and it was wonderful to see students and staff coming together to show their appreciation.

Ā

We have also continued to focus on kindness and getting along with others. We’ve seen some awesome examples of students including others, being respectful, and spreading positivity across the school.

Ā

Donuts with Dad was a big success! On Friday, 4th September, we celebrated the father figures and important male role models in our lives. Thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a special morning.

Ā

This Thursday is R U OK Day. Everyone is encouraged to wear a yellow accessory to school and look out for one another. Remember, having a simple conversation and asking someone ā€œAre you OK?ā€ can make a huge difference in someone’s life. Let’s support each other and show we care!

Ā

If you have an idea you'd like us to consider, please speak to your class SRC representative and share your thoughts!

Ā

Student Challenge 😊

Remember our challenge for this term is simple: Be a good friend!

Ways you can do this:

  • Be a good listener
  • Share and take turns
  • Be kind and respectful
  • Include others

    Ā

If you’re feeling lonely or need support, please reach out to your SRC team. We’re always happy to help and would love to welcome you!

2168 Children's Parliament News

Our Children’s Parliament representatives recently enjoyed an exciting visit to NSW Parliament House. Alexa, Kattya, Hawra and Loritta explored this important building, learned how our state’s democratic system works, saw where important decisions are made and practised delivering their speech.

Ā

This valuable experience strengthened their understanding of leadership, representation, public speaking and active citizenship. We are incredibly proud of the way they represented Green Valley Public School throughout the visit.
