Stage 2 and 3 Writers

Congratulations to our students who participated in the WriteOn competition. Special mention to Elise (Stage 2) and Evangeli (Stage 3) who were our stage finalists. 

Maths Cup

Nine of our Year 6 mathematicians attended the Maths Cup at Amity College on Wednesday, 2nd September. Working in teams of three, they tackled challenging maths problems and puzzles with great teamwork and enthusiasm.

Stage 1 Writing Group 

Stage 1 students have been enthusiastically participating in Mrs Ross' writing group, producing some truly amazing work! Their creativity and dedication shine through every piece, showcasing their growing skills and love for storytelling. We’re so proud of their efforts and can’t wait to see what they write next!

Stage 1 Extension maths group

Students in Year 1 and Year 2 have been participating in a withdrawn HPGE mathematics group with Mrs Polistina, where they explore challenging, open-ended word problems. Students are encouraged to think deeply, explain and share their mathematical reasoning, and listen to and build upon the ideas of others.

Through rich mathematical discussions, students compare different approaches and determine the most efficient strategies for solving problems. This encourages students to develop their problem-solving skills, mathematical reasoning and confidence when tackling challenging tasks.

Final weeks of the Maths Olympiad, Games and Explorer competitions

Students are currently working hard to prepare for their last competition which takes place this week. We wish them the best of luck.

Visual Arts Group

Our HPGE art group pieces are currently being prepared to be displayed at Liverpool Powerhouse Museum. They will be part of the 28th Annual Liverpool Art Society Exhibition. Families are welcome to attend to see some wonderful artworks from 19th September - 24th October.
