Musicians Shine at Icebreakers Event
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Lizzie Nealon-Cook, Alex Stewart, and Elizabeth Isbister for their exceptional performances at the recent Icebreakers event, Friday 21st February in the John Cunningham Student Centre. Their beautiful music created a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere, leaving our guests thoroughly entertained and impressed.

Excursion to 2024 HSC ENCORE
On Monday night, 24th March, our Year 11 students had the privilege of being in the Concert Hall at the Opera House to see our own Will Louis perform on stage as part of the Encore programme. What a night! It was a feast of classical music, jazz performances, vocal excellence and even some rock. What amazing talent was on display from the 2024 student performers and composers. The applause was deafening. It was great to see Will Louis so comfortable on the big stage.

Round 2 opens for Young Mannheim Symphonists QLD & NSW Academies – places still available
YMS is Australia’s national youth orchestra for HIP (Historically Informed Performance). Taught by the Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra, it offers a week of bringing 18th- and 19th-century music to life in the way it was originally heard. This includes historical instruments and strings, techniques, creative interpretation and a final public concert. Round 2 auditions are now open for select instruments at State Academies only.

REPERTOIRE: Beethoven Symphony No.1 and Haydn Symphony No.103 ‘Drumroll’
FACULTY: Conducted by Rachael Beesley with co-director Nicole van Bruggen and ARCO principal faculty
