From the Deans of Students

It’s been an exciting month here at Blue Mountains Grammar School! We are excited to share that, four weeks into our roles as the new Dean of Students, we are already introducing innovative initiatives designed to boost student involvement in events and inspire meaningful contributions to our school community.

To kick things off, we have launched our brand-new Merit System this week. We believe in celebrating the positive contributions of our students. With this new system, students can earn points for upholding our school values, and these points accumulate towards even higher awards. This initiative is our way of acknowledging and encouraging the good deeds and hard work that make our community so special.

There is an upcoming event that may be of interest to parents and carers. It is a free webinar run by Black Dog Institute Teen Mental Health Matters: For Parents and Carers on March 3, 2025, at 6:30 PM. This free event will cover important topics including:

  • How to make sense of adolescence.
  • Identifying signs of mental health struggles.
  • Understanding how to support your teen.
  • Knowing where you and your teen can get support.

We hope you take advantage of this opportunity to gain valuable insights into teen mental health and well-being.

Thank you for being an integral part of our community. We look forward to celebrating our students’ achievements and supporting the entire Blue Mountains Grammar School family through these exciting initiatives!
