Grade 3 News

A great week of learning in Grade 3!

In English, we are continuing to read our class novel, Matilda by Roald Dahl.

There have been lots of fantastic words which we have added to our vocabulary word walls, such as profound, compel, vivid and confide.

In Maths, we finished off our unit of addition and subtraction.

It was great to see all the different strategies students were using when solving two- and three-digit addition and subtraction problems.

You can keep practicing basic number facts at home, to help solve these problems quickly.

In Religion, we have been looking at the unit; reaching out and serving others.

This has allowed students to think deeply about how we help others in our local community.

Keep up the wonderful home reading! We already have some students at 25 NIGHTS! Well, done to those students.

We have NAPLAN coming up shortly.

Please bring headphones and Technology forms.
