Grade 1 News

It has been a fantastic couple of weeks of learning in Grade 1! 

In English, we have been enjoying the delightful story Josephine Wants to Dance. Students wrote some fantastic sentences about what they hope to be when they grow up. We also created displays showcasing students 'reaching' for the stars, just like Josephine did in the story. 

In Mathematics, we’ve started a new unit on Counting and Place Value. Students have been exploring numbers through engaging activities using think boards. 

We would also like to congratulate our Week 5 award winners, including those who received the Bernie Trophy, as well as students who demonstrated outstanding work in the classroom.
