Grade 6 News

Our Grade 6 students have been diving into some exciting learning!
In math, we explored order of operations and square and triangular numbers, discovering fascinating number patterns and how they connect to real life.
Ask your child to explain how to build these numbers using counters or drawings!
It would be great if you could practise timetables regularly with your child eg. at the dinner table or in the car.
In writing, we focused on persuasive paragraphs, learning how to craft strong arguments with clear reasons and evidence.
Students are working on convincing their readers with powerful words and well-structured ideas.
Our reading sessions have us at the end of There’s a Ghost in My Suitcase by Gabrielle Wang. We’ve been captivated by the mystery and cultural depth of this engaging novel. Students are discussing key themes and making predictions about what will happen next.
