New Parental Consent Process for School-Based Apprenticeship and Traineeship Referrals
- Parent/Guardian Consent - Initial Discussion with their young person
- Head Start supports our school’s students to explore school-based apprenticeship or traineeship (SBAT) opportunities. Head Start requires parent or guardian consent to provide this service to students.
- SBATs combine secondary schooling with paid employment and training, and are open to students who are:
- enrolled in Year 10, 11 or 12
- at least 15 years of age
- Australian citizens or permanent residents.
- Head Start staff are school employees. Your consent is required for Head Start staff to meet with your child and provide this service.
- If your young person is interested in exploring SBAT options, you will receive a consent and referral form via email.
- Completing the form will allow your young person to access Head Start support and consider their SBAT opportunities.
