Year 12 Report

Year 12 Learning Community News
Term 1 has come to an end, and it’s time for our Year 12 students to enjoy a well-balanced break—one that includes schoolwork, part-time jobs, and relaxation. It is crucial that students stay up to date with their studies and are fully prepared for the start of Term 2 on Tuesday 22nd April.
The Year 12 Formal was a fantastic success, with students dancing the night away. We hope you’ve had a chance to view the short video from the night on our social media platforms.
Our VCE VM students also led a highly successful Harmony Day celebration. They participated in an insightful Sikh presentation and raised funds through market stalls to support the Sikh community.
Throughout the term, we have had the pleasure of recognising numerous students with awards that reflect our College values of growth and connection. Students with excellent attendance were also acknowledged, and all recipients should be incredibly proud of their achievements.
We hope you have reviewed your child’s recently released progress reports. Overall, we are pleased with the results and encourage students to continue striving for their personal best.

Important update
As of the beginning of Term 2, students who are required to complete missed School Assessed Coursework (SACs) or VCE and VCE VM (at-risk) sessions after school, will no longer be required to return a signed acknowledgement form to the college.
Students who are enrolled in after school assessments are required to do so under VCAA guidelines around mandatory assessment conditions that do not permit missed or further assessments to be completed during class or break times.
Students will continue to receive a paper notice of an after school assessment session and are encouraged to communicate/present this at home. Parents and carers will continue to receive email communications and will be able to see any additional assessment sessions on a student’s Compass schedule.
As with any VCE or VCE VM assessment, if a student misses one of these sessions, appropriate documentation is required e.g. medical certificate. VCE & VCE VM handbooks can be found on the Compass Newsfeed.
Uniform Reminder
With the colder weather approaching in Term 2, students must continue to wear the correct uniform. If you need clarification, please refer to the uniform policy: Uniform Policy. A reminder that Year 12 students are expected to be in full school uniform until their final day.
We hope the students enjoyed their little Easter Egg Hunt at the end term.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the Year 12 Learning Community Leaders.
