Love In A Cup
A massive thank you to all who supported the Love in Cup Coffee van at our Athletics Carnival. Your contributions on the day totalled to $317.95. This amount impressed our team here at DCS so much that we decided to match your donations and further contribute another $300. Our total donations tallied $617.95!
We contacted the owner of Love in a Cup to let him know how much we raised and he was very appreciative of our generosity. This has now exceeded the amount they needed to build a well in a village that is in need of fresh water.
Through the work of Tearfund Australia they are now able to provide long-term sustainable development in poor communities around the world. Often this work is in difficult and challenging environments where people are facing the most extreme aspects of poverty and injustice. Tearfund supports projects that meet the needs of these communities such as food security, water and sanitation, basic health, and education.
Thank you DCS Community for all your generosity!
All Things Soccer Season Share Table
On Thursday 27th and Friday 28th March, we are having an ‘All Things Soccer Season' share table - think socks, shin pads and soccer boots that no longer fit.
Simply drop off any items you would like to donate to the office by Friday 21st March. You may find something you need!
The ‘All Things Soccer Season’ share table will be to be set up outside the Jiloa Centre from 2:30-3:00pm.
Alternatively, please feel free to use our DCS Community Uniform & Sports: Buy, Sell and Giveaway Facebook group. Send me a message if you are not added in yet and would like to be.
Come along and see if there is something you need!
Mother's Day Stall
This year DCS Community would like to open up an exciting opportunity for any DCS entrepreneurial parents or grandparents to showcase and sell some of their arts and crafts in our annual Mother’s Day Stall.
Maybe you have a side hustle creating scrunchies or delicious jams?
If you would like to participate in having a stall, please contact Jasmin either via Facebook (Jasmin at DCS) or by email to: thompsonj@dcs.tas.edu.au
Subway Lunches
DCS Community facilitate the option of Subway lunches for all students each Wednesday. Orders are placed via the Subway Canteen Hub, and then delivered to school. Please read the information below if you would like to place an order.
For existing users, please log into Canteen Hub as usual. Please remember to update your child's year level and class when logging in for the first time in 2025.
If you are a new user of Canteen Hub, please follow the instructions below:
Liv Eat Lunches
After a successful trial at the end of last year, we will be continuing to offer Liv Eat lunches each Friday as another healthy ordering option for students - great if you are looking for inspiration!
Simply follow the instructions above to log into Canteen Hub and, once logged in, you will see at the top in red - Menu: School lunch Menu 2025. Use the drop down box and you will see an option to go into Liv Eat. Liv Eat will then appear with its menu. Please remember to update your child's year level and class when logging in for the first time in 2025.
All orders need to be in by 12pm Thursdays to allow Liv Eat plenty of time to organise orders.
If you have any questions, or finding it difficult to order regarding either Subway or Liv Eat, please email: reception@dcs.tas.edu.au.
