In recent weeks I have attended our Agricultural Advisory Committee (AAC), P&C and College Board meetings. It is pleasing to see parents, industry and community contributing their time to supporting our school, through being a conduit and voice for our student's, our wider school community and industry. I would like to thank all those who have volunteered to contribute to these important committees and boards. I'd also like to thank the P&C for their generous contributions toward purchasing an outdoor table tennis table among other items in residential.
Our College is always looking for ways to improve and continually seek feedback and review our performance. It is essential that we are catering for the learning needs of our students, providing a safe and welcoming residential environment, and meeting the needs and expectations of industry through developing confident, capable, independent and work-ready graduates.
To that end, it is with great satisfaction that I present to our College community, our 2024 Annual Report. Additionally, I invite our Year 11 parents to complete our Year 11 Induction and Transition to Boarding survey which was emailed out on Thursday last week. Our Year 11 students will also complete the survey, and I look forward to sharing the feedback with you.
2024 Annual Report
This document is of significant importance because:
We utilise data (including student achievement) to analyse student success
We celebrate our collective achievements (of our students and staff alike)
We identify any challenges we experienced throughout 2024
We indicate areas for improvement/future focus
I encourage you to take the time to read this report when you have an opportunity to gain greater insight and appreciation for the excellent work occurring across all areas of our College.
Wagin Woolorama
It was a pleasure to attend the Woolorama last weekend and catch up with familiar faces and past graduates of our College. A common comment I heard, was that their time at the College was "the best 2 years of their lives". Well done to the students who competed and represented our College to the highest of standards, as always.
Finally, I'd like to acknowledge our students for their understanding and maturity following my talk with them last week about the importance of speaking respectfully about others and to others. It is pleasing to see our students acknowledge these important values and put them into practice ready for their transition into the workforce and wider society.
