School Effectiveness Survey

The Catholic Education Tasmania (CET) School Effectiveness Survey will be sent out to parents, carers and students of Years 5, 6, 7, 9 and 11 on Monday 24 March via email. This survey presents an excellent opportunity to provide valuable feedback, helping us improve our school’s programs, services and overall student experience. Your insights are important in shaping the future of St Mary’s and its strategic planning.

Year 11 and12 International Women’s Day Breakfast

The Year 11/12 Women’s Day Breakfast, held last week, was an inspiring event, with guest speaker Hannah Vasicek sharing her journey and empowering students. It was an amazing morning of connection, motivation and celebration of the achievements and contributions of women of all walks of life.

Head of the River

St Mary’s had an outstanding performance at the Head of the River, securing the Junior Girls Shield and finishing 3rd in the Senior Girls competition. These results marked a strong and fulfilling conclusion to the rowing season, showcasing dedication and teamwork across the board.

Celebrating our uniqueness

In the spirit of Diversity Week and Neurodiversity Celebration Week, we take the opportunity to reflect on and celebrate the unique qualities of every individual. Harmony Week emphasises inclusivity, respect and a sense of belonging by celebrating the diverse cultures within our community. Neurodiversity Celebration Week highlights the strengths and perspectives of individuals with different neurological conditions, promoting understanding and acceptance. Together, these weeks foster an environment where everyone feels valued and supported, showcasing the beauty of our differences and the strength they bring to our school.

Principal Tours

During the Principal Tours this morning, eight new families visited our College, exploring our values, educational programs and facilities. The event was a chance to showcase what makes our school a nurturing and inspiring environment for students to thrive.
