Grade 5 News

Another fantastic fortnight of learning!

We have just finished reading our class novel, War Horse by Michael Morpurgo. Be sure to ask your child what they thought of the ending—it's sparked some great discussions in class!

In writing, students have been exploring persuasive texts, debating the thought-provoking question: Should horses have been used in the war? This topic has led to a fascinating divide, with students presenting strong arguments on both sides.

In maths we have continue to build our understanding of multiplication and division facts, learning how they are related and solving increasingly difficult equations.

Congratulations to our Grade 5 Students who have completed their NAPLAN assessments.

We are all very proud of their positive attitude and resilience when approaching each of the subjects.

Last week we began the inaugural Grade 5 Sport Championships where classes will compete against each other in a variety of different sports.

We have started with the Kickball Cup and have loved seeing the amazing sportsmanship between the classes.
