Grade 3-6:

Reading:
Both the Grade 3/4A class and the Grade 4/5A class have continued with their study of 'Matilda' and have thoroughly been enjoying reading the novel as a class. Students have participated in all the activities with a positive attitude and have had lots of fun when studying the themes and characters of the book. The Grade 5/6A have also continued with their study of the book 'War Horse' and are continuing to learn more about the characters in this book every day.
Writing:
Grade 3/4A, Grade 4/5A and Grade 5/6A have been continuing with their study of both Persuasive and Narrative Writing. It has been great to see the students get invested in their writing pieces and be proud of what they have written and accomplished.
Maths:
All classes in the senior module have continued with their topic of Place Value and have begun the new major topic of 'Shapes'. The three classes in the senior module have been able to include themselves in a wide range of activities focusing on their understanding of 2D and 3D shapes.
NAPLAN:
Both the Grade 3 and Grade 5 students in the Senior Module participated in the NAPLAN tests this week and we are so proud of the hard work that they put into these tests. All classes in the senior module have been busy the past few weeks preparing for these 4 tests, and it was so lovely to see all the hard work pay off.
