District and Western Sport Trials 

In 2025, Mrs Francis will coordinate all district and western trial information for PSSA Sporting teams.

Some trials at a school level will be held prior to the district trials. This depends on the sport and popularity of trials at the district level. 

When trialling for district and western teams, notes will go home with students from school and will need to be returned to school to Mrs Francis before the due date. 

Students cannot attend trials without this note being approved by the school and students names entered into trials by the school. 

Students can find out about upcoming school, district and western trials by listening to Sentral announcements in class, and parents can find out about trials by keeping up to date through the School Newsletter. 

Upcoming school and district trial information

Rugby League Trials: Boys - District trials for boys Under 11's (must be turning 11 in 2025) and Opens, will be held on Wed 12th March. Notes will be handed out next week to interested students. Don't forget to return to the office by the due date.

Upcoming  western trial information

Rugby 7's : Girls- Trials for the Western Region Rugby 7's team will be held on 21st March in Wellington. Notes will be handed out this week for girls interested. Don't forget to return to the office by the due date.

Girls Softball - Students interested in trialing for the Western Girls Softball Team will need to see Mrs Francis this week. 

AFL Trials: Boys - District trials for AFL will be in Orange on Friday 28th February. Notes will be handed out this week to interested students. Don't forget to return to Mrs Francis by the due date.

AFL Trials: Girls- Selection trials for girls for the State Carnival will occur at different venues across the state between 26th February and 10th March. Notes will be handed out this week to interested girls. Registration is completed by parents. 

District Swimming Carnival - Students who have qualified for the District Swimming Carnival have been notified. The District Carnival is to be held at Manning Aquatic Centre, Bathurst on Friday 28th of February. Mrs Francis is the team manager. Children will sit and be supervised by Mrs Francis throughout the day. Don't forget to give permission and pay on Sentral by the due date.

Western Swimming Carnival - Students who qualify for the Western Swimming Carnival will receive their note after events tomorrow at the district carnival. The Western Carnival is to be held in Dubbo on Friday 7th March.  Don't forget to return to the office by the due date.

Netball Trials - The second trial for Netball for the Year 5 and 6 children who have nominated to be part of the school team will be held next Tuesday 4th March during Break 2 with Miss Reedy. 

Girls Touch Football Team - Congratulations to the following girls on their selection in the Touch Football Team;

Our next training session will be held on Tuesday 4th March during Break 1.

The Touch Football Gala day is scheduled for Friday 28th March. More information will be sent home soon.

Our first game will be against Bathurst West PS on Wednesday 5th March, 2025. More details will be sent home in the coming days.
