P&C News – Volunteers, Colour, Sponsors & More! 🌟
🍏 Our Canteen Needs YOU (Yes… YOU!)
Do you have a spare morning, a spare hour, or just enjoy being part of the action? Our P&C‑run canteen would love to welcome more volunteers!
Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, carer, or community member, we promise Jen (our wonderful Canteen Supervisor) and soon‑to‑join Jenny (our fabulous new Canteen Assistant) will make you feel right at home. You’ll be helping prepare lunches and recess orders for our very hungry Edgeworth students and trust us, they can eat! 🍔
🕘 Volunteer anytime between 9:00am–2:10pm
We’re flexible! One shift, two shifts, part shifts — whatever works for you:
- 9:00am–12:00pm
- 12:00pm–2:10pm
- 9:00am–11:00am
- 10:00am–12:00pm Or anything in between!
Many hands make light work… and fewer chicken nuggets dropped.
Please email eps_canteen@live.com.au with the days and times you can volunteer (once a week, once a month, once a term, or multiple weeks).
🌈 Colour Run Fundraiser – We’ve Hit $10K!
Our Monty the Monster Colour Run is already smashing expectations - over $10,000 raised so far for our new playground! 🎉(Remember: P&C gets 60% of all funds raised!)
We still need every student to create a fundraising profile — this also acts as their permission note for the event.
💻 Profiles are created with Australian Fundraising, a Department of Education–approved company, and all data is stored safely and securely. Only your child’s first name, last initial, and class appear on their page. It’s entirely up to you if you choose to share it around.
🎯 School Challenge Goal:
- 350 profiles and/or $20,000 raised
- If we get there, the school leaders get to slime Ms Montgomery! We are SO close… and the students are VERY motivated. 😄

🏢 Business Sponsorships – 90% Comes to the P&C!
We are seeking business sponsors for the Colour Run. The P&C keeps 90% of sponsorship funds! Businesses can supply signage for the event, and the school is happy to discuss additional visibility options, including the school’s electronic sign.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our recent McDonald’s Fun Night. We raised $226! Every little bit helps us get closer to building our playground.
