Lately, what has truly inspired us around the school is witnessing the resilience and empathy demonstrated by our students. Despite the challenges we may face whether academic, social, or personal, there is an unmistakable sense of support that shines through. We’ve observed moments where students patiently listen to one another, offer a helping hand without hesitation, and approach their learning with renewed enthusiasm. These acts not only uplift individuals but build a culture where kindness and growth go hand in hand. It’s a privilege to be part of such a vibrant and caring community, and we look forward to what is yet to come.

Kindness in Action

In recent weeks, our school community has truly exemplified the spirit of kindness and teamwork. One shining example is the way Year 6 students came together to support their Kindergarten buddies during their buddy sessions. Another is where some of our senior students are helping younger friends in the playground, encouraging them to make friends with their peers and to be in the right place at the right time. These acts, both big and small, create a positive environment where everyone feels valued, supported and included. It’s heartening to see such genuine kindness in action, reminding us all of the strength found in community.

Attendance Matters: The Importance of Explained Absences

Regular attendance is essential for students’ learning, wellbeing, and social development. Every day at school counts, and being present enables students to fully participate, stay on track with their learning, and connect with friends and teachers. If your child is unable to attend school, it is vital that their absence is explained as soon as possible, either through the school app, response to SMS, a written note or phone call to the front office. Explained absences help us accurately record attendance and provide support where needed. They also ensure the safety and accountability of every student. Unexplained absences can impact student progress and may lead to follow-up from the school. Let’s work together to keep attendance strong and make sure every absence is communicated promptly. Your involvement helps us build a safe, supportive, and successful learning environment.
