YEAR 11
Leading The Way

Head of Year 11
During Week7 in SEL, our Year 11 students will complete the Y11 2026 Pathways Profile. This important profiling activity invites students to reflect on their current goals, levels of engagement and wellbeing, while also considering future pathways beyond school including further study, training, and employment opportunities. By responding honestly and thoughtfully, students enable us to better understand their aspirations and any challenges they may be experiencing. Taking the task seriously and engaging genuinely in the process will help us to best support them, providing targeted guidance and meaningful conversations throughout their senior years as they prepare for life beyond school.
Throughout Lent, our College community is proudly supporting Project Compassion, living out our shared commitment to justice, compassion and service. Within this whole-school initiative, our Year 11 students have taken on an added challenge, working in their Pastoral Groups to design and implement innovative fundraising ideas across the Lenten season. This provides a meaningful opportunity for students to demonstrate leadership, teamwork and creativity while contributing to a significant cause. To foster a sense of friendly competition within the cohort, the Year 11 Pastoral Group that raises the most funds during Lent will be awarded House points in recognition of their collective effort and generosity. Families may notice students seeking support from home for their fundraising initiatives, and we sincerely appreciate the encouragement and generosity of our community in helping make a positive difference.
A reminder that Year 11 Block Exams will take place in Week 9. Students and parents are asked to keep an eye out for an email from John Cahill, our Leader of Curriculum Logistics, which will outline what the week will look like for our Year 11 students, including key information and expectations. We encourage students to continue their preparation in the coming weeks to ensure they approach this important assessment period with confidence and organisation.

At the College, students are required to adhere to the uniform and personal grooming guide. We want to support families, students, and teachers in understanding specific requirements, particularly for sports shoes. We know students are currently wearing shoes in the 'not suitable' section of the graphic below.
To provide clarity, we have listed the main shoes worn by students with their sports uniforms that require fixing and shoes must meet expectations for the start of Term 2. This provides you and your family time to make changes to comply with the uniform guideline outlined in the College Diary under Uniforms: Sport shoes - Low cut, supportive, lace-up, all-purpose shoes for running with a suitable grip. Colour scheme should be discreet. Skate shoes and other flat-soled shoes are not acceptable.
The shoes shown in the graphic below are examples we frequently see; they are not the ONLY shoes not permitted. If you are unsure of the correct shoes, please send a picture or ask your child to speak with the Head of Year for clarification. Uniform infringement consequences will come into play at the commencement of Term 2. We appreciate your support in making it very clear what we expect regarding appropriate footwear at the College.

Please note that all key dates are listed in the College Calendar. This can be accessed via the MyCE Parent App and synced with your personal calendar.
