We acknowledge the first peoples of the Kulin Nation, their Dreaming of the past, present and future. We pay our respect for their land by looking after the land we learn and play on.

It's been a couple weeks so here’s a snapshot of what’s been happening down at the PLAYHOUSE. Olympics fever hit OSHC with educators planning (with student input) a HUGE variety of activities for students to enjoy and they did not disappoint.

Basketball, handball, volleyball, tennis, badminton, soccer and athletics all featured but our activities were not just limited to sport! In the kitchen they baked Olympic themed cupcakes, we made medals, did a scavenger hunt around the yard, designed our own Olympic uniform and tested our flexibility with a few rounds of Limbo.

We enjoyed watching a whole range of different events each morning and afternoon exposing children to the diversity of events that the Olympics has to offer while marveling at the skill it takes to get there. It was such a huge success that we are extending it in the lead up to the hotly anticipated Paralympic games.

We celebrated OSHC Educators week with some very kind words from students shared to our fantastic team but sadly we said goodbye to Wendy who has finished up with us for the foreseeable future. Hopefully we will see her back at some stage.

This week while still focusing on the Olympics we are also doing National Science Week and so far slime time has been big on the agenda and another great group took on the building challenge of building the tallest tower with limited resources.

Have a great weekend
