PBL Focus
plus a great show of Joey's compassion!
A great show of COMPASSION from Joey's recently was our Stage 3 students and staff walking in support of the #TheBloodyLongWalk, which raises funds to support Australian families impacted by Mitochondrial disease. We walked while our Year 5 student, George Baldry was in Newcastle walking 35km in memory of his brother, Henry.
George has nearly met his target! Donations to support this cause can be made here: Support George.
Every fortnight, we teach and positively reinforce a targeted behavior that reflects what our data tells us about the social and behavioral needs of our students.
The targeted behaviors are linked to our three PBL Values; COMPASSION, RESPECT, and COMMITMENT!
Term 3 Targeted Behaviours:
Weeks 1-3
Preparing for NAIDOC.
'We are inclusive and accepting of others / We show cultural sensitivity / We celebrate Aboriginal Culture'.
Linked to our school value COMPASSION!
Weeks 4-5
Preparing for 'No Bullying No Way' Day.
'We see a need and we do something about it!'
Linked to our school value COMPASSION!
Weeks 6-7
'We play away from the toilets and we respect the privacy and rights of others'.
Linked to our school value of RESPECT!
Weeks 8-9
'We wear our uniform correctly and with pride.'
Linked to our school value of RESPECT!
Week 10
'We put rubbish in the bin.'
Linked to our school value RESPECT!
