Wellbeing News
Last week we participated in the Bullying No Way: National Week of Action. This was a great way for us to raise awareness and promote the theme that Everyone Belongs. To help us share this message, our student leaders ran a poster competition. Each grade designed a poster to show that we all belong at SMDP.
Here are the winning entries from each category:
- Prep
- 1/2
- 3-6
Szechna (Prep N)
Yoshua (1/2A)
Nikolaos (5/6K)
The winning entries are also displayed in our front office area. Congratulations to our winners and well done to everyone that participated.
Student Voice Committee
This week we ran our first student voice committee meeting for 2024. One student from each grade across our school was selected as a student voice representative.
The role of a student voice committee is to allow students to have greater voice and agency about decisions made around our school. It is a great way for students to discuss and share their thoughts and ideas around ways we can continue to build and foster a safe and connected school community.
A big congratulations to these students who were selected to be on the committee. Each student representative will receive an award at Monday's assembly.
