Hello everyone,

 

Parent/Carer/Guardian survey.

Keep those survey responses coming please! Our aim is to have responses from at least 55 families, we have had 27 responses so far. Please take a few minutes to give us your feedback.

School Disco.

Our school disco is three weeks away! Our amazing Parents & Friends group are busily planning and organising. They need your help to make the night a success!

Please complete this quick survey to let them know how you can help: there are some jobs that will only take a short amount of time, such as putting the lolly bags together, and the more people there are helping the quicker the job gets done!

We also want song suggestions from our students and you can add those requests here.

 

 

School Wide Positive Behaviour Supports.

Today, our SWPBS team- David Morrison-Blunck, Rachel Quarrier, Louise Rodriquez and myself met with Kerry Hammond, a regional SWPBS coach. We discussed our progress in implementing SWPBS and have plenty to celebrate-

  • our school values are in place and regularly referred to.
  • we have defined our expected behaviours.
  • all classrooms regularly revisit their classroom routines and expectations to make sure they are inline with our expected behaviours.
  • student behaviour incidents are logged by staff so we can target reteaching of our expectations.
  • we have started writing lessons for each of our expected behaviours so we can be consistent in the way we teach and reinforce our expectations.
  • families, students and staff have all been involved in developing our values, expected behaviours and identifying minor and major behaviours.

Implementing SWPBS is one of our main school improvement goals and will be an area we will continue to work on over the next few years. I will be including more information about SWPBS in our newsletter so that you know more about it and can also support the program in our school. If there is a SWPBS area you would like to know more about, let me know so I can include it in the newsletter.
