Year 1 Steiner

Celebrating Learning

Kii families,

As you all know I have been away a lot this term due to a family member passing away. Thanks for all your support and understanding during this hard time.

While I have been away the kids have done a lot of amazing learning and exploring. It has been such a joy to be back and see their shining faces. They have all been so proud and excited to tell me all they have learnt and share their learnings with me.

We have also been lucky to have Anna the student teacher with us during this time. She was able to help the class make their very own knitting needles with dowel, sanding on concrete and gumnuts!

This week she started the last main lesson of the term - Animal Tales from around the world. In this main lesson she will explore different stories from Indigenous cultures from around the world, starting with different stories from the many different languages in Australia.

In practice times we are diving into the world of money. This will be the first formal money lessons we have done, and I am sure the kids will love it.

Thanks once again for all your support.

Lucy and Mirella.
