In Week 5, Skye Primary School celebrated the National Week of Action Against Bullying.
Students participated in a variety of activities promoting awareness on what bullying is, what to do and where to go if they are feeling unsafe. The week culminated in all students enjoying a theatrical performance entitled, 'Sticks and Stones'.
Once again, Brainstorm Productions dazzled our students, presenting them with a serious message in an engaging format. The performance focused on teaching children the skills needed to interact appropriately online, treating others kindly and how to get help.
Tips for Parents to Prevent Bullying
Talk and listen to your kids, take what they say seriously
Spend time at school
Be a good example of kindness and leadership
Learn the signs
Teach your child how to be a good witness or positive bystander
