Feast Of The Assumption

Mary was a very humble, poor girl. But she was chosen to be the mother of God’s son, Jesus. 

God did not choose a princess, someone who was already rich and powerful. 

And as God loves those who are humble, we are also called to love those who are poor. 

Prayers Of The Faithful:

Help us to have faith like Mary.  Lord hear us.

Jesus was always the centre of Mary’s life. 

May Jesus be as important in our own lives. Lord hear us.

Mary’s love and devotion supported Jesus throughout his life.

Confirmation

This term our Year 6 students will receive the sacrament of Confirmation. During Confirmation, candidates will be ‘sealed’ with the Holy Spirit. Students will explore people who demonstrate saintly qualities and hopefully gain a greater understanding of the Fruits and Gifts of the Holy Spirit. To help prepare for Confirmation, Confirmation Commitment Masses, Reflection Day and Confirmation Medal Masses will be held in August with the Sacrament of Confirmation being held on Wednesday 28th August, 6DB 5:00pm Mass and 6SL 7:00pm Mass.  Like anything we do in life, preparation is important. Sacraments are not a "tick" object in life, but rather part of our life journey - a journey shared with God and family.
