Prep Classroom News

During Term 3 we have been writing information reports on things from the past, matched with their future counter part invention. Some examples have been Horse and cart vs Electric cars, Candle light vs Electricity, Marbles/Jacks vs Nintendo and chalkboards vs Interactive hiteboards. We have made our homemade chalk using flour, water and food colouring and decorated the front of the school. We even used the chalk to draw out some circles to play some old school marbles with our grade 6 buddies and some of the grade 5s from 5/6B. 

5/6 Summer Gala Sports

Last week the year 5/6 students participated in the summer gala sporting event against others schools in the Westgate district. We were lucky to have two cricket teams, two volleyball teams and one volleystars team!! All students works so well together and supported each other, despite the windy conditions. 

A special congratulations to Volleyball Team 1 and Cricket Team 1 for placing first in their C divisions. 

                                                           Year 3/4 Dreamtime Stories

This term our major piece of writing has been researching, writing, editing, illustrating and publishing our own Dreamtime Story. The students read, listened to and watched lots of Dreamtime Stories and then created their own. We read our finished products to the Preps today. All the students did a wonderful job. Well done!!!
