Skip-counting

This week, we are taking those skills a step further and applying our knowledge to challenging math tasks as well as some multiplication games. We are using our skip-counting strategies to make equal groups, arrays, tables, number sentences and more!

The students were provided with an open-ended question: The Wilson family went to the farm and saw a paddock of horses. How many horses did they see, and how many horse legs were in the paddock in total? Show as many possible solutions as you can.

They were challenged to use a variety of problem-solving tools and extend their learning by varying the number of horses in the paddock.

Here are some photos from a problem-solving task this week.
