Our holiday wrap up

This activity challenged 4B to describe their holidays in one word. The results were amazing! Following is a selection of statements from our students. 

 

Pareen: Miraculous fun! I went to a water park with water cannons. 

Osama: Joy! I loved playing with my friends and family. 

Adieu: Lazy. I stayed at home a lot and relaxed. 

Khang: Very tired. Because I did not get enough sleep. 

Khang N: Sore tummy. I ate too much cookies and cream milkshake. 

Sulaiman: Overjoyed! I went to Timezone. 

Mary: Scrumdelicious! I had the best food I have ever eaten. 

Rose: Fun! I went indoor rock climbing at Phillip Island. 

Miranda: Flabbergasting! I was planning on sleeping but my plan got ruined because I had to go swimming & hiking. 

Emina: Lots of fun. I had a sleepover and we laughed all night. 

Asma: Celebrations. Lots of people were at my home for Eid celebrations. 

Akmam: Calm. I got to eat my hot chocolate and muffin in peace. 

Charlotte: Cute Koala. I went hiking and I saw three koalas, they were so cute! 

Frankie: Relaxing. I went to Torquay and it was very relaxing. 

 

Rocket Writing

We have been working on writing sentences with varied leads, lengths and structures. We talked about how the sentence length can really impact the mood of our writing. 

We watched a video of a rocket jetting off into space and we wrote a short piece about it.
